Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer a crash replacement policy?
Short answer? No.
Long answer? We don’t inflate our prices to quietly build that cost in.
Some brands charge everyone more so a few riders can get discounted replacements. We’d rather price things properly from day one and make seriously durable kit that can handle being rag-dolled down a rock garden.
We stand by the quality. If something fails because of a manufacturing issue, we’ll sort it.
If you send it into a tree at 30mph… that one’s on you, legend.
Why are you cheaper than other brands?
First of all - we prefer the term ridiculous value.
We don’t have:
- Huge corporate teams
- Fancy head offices
- Massive marketing budgets
- World Cup athlete contracts
It’s a tight operation. Design, branding and customer care are handled properly, without layers of overhead.
That means your money goes into fabric, fit and function - not funding someone’s marketing department.
Are you a UK brand?
100%.
BlackLine is built and run in the UK. Design, branding, customer support - all done here.
We source fabrics and manufacturing globally (like pretty much every serious brand), but the thinking, standards and rider obsession live here at home.
You’re supporting a UK MTB brand, not a faceless global machine.
Is your kit actually any good?
Obv. But don’t take our word for it.
Check the verified reviews. Scroll the tagged photos on Instagram. Look at what real riders are saying after real rides…. not studio shoots.
We repost customers sending it in the mud, rain and bike park because that’s where this kit lives.
We could waffle about “premium construction” and “engineered performance”…
Or you can see riders backing it themselves.
That’s the difference.
What if it doesn’t fit?
Then we fix it.
We’ve put serious effort into dialling the fit, but bodies aren’t factory-standard. If it’s not right, send it back and we’ll sort an exchange or refund.
We’d rather you love it than “make it work.”
(Just don’t ride a full bike park day in it and then tell us it’s unworn… we can tell.)
Why don’t you sponsor big riders?
Because you are the rider.
Instead of paying someone with 200k followers, we invest in the product and support the trails you actually ride.
No shade to the pros - we just believe everyday riders deserve the value more.
How do you support trails?
This one matters.
We take a portion of our profits and sponsor our trail partners to fund tools and equipment that keep their trails running all year round.
No trails. No riding. No community.
We’d rather put money into spades, saws and maintenance than another Instagram ad.
Ride more. Give back. Repeat.
